Kaohanaburi is Thailand's the third largest province, covers some 19,483.2 square kilometres and borders Myanmar to the west of Bangkok. Kanchanaburi is the site of the world famous Bridge Over The River Kwae (Known as - The Brigde Over the River Kwai). Kanchanaburi is connected by daily road and rail services with Bangkok and other neighbouring provinces. Transportation within the provincial capital is most enjoyable on tricycles. These can be hired at reasonable rate, enabling visitors to see the Bridge Over the River Kwae. the War Cemetery, the JEATH War Museum in one circuit. Motorcycles or jeeps can be rented on a daily or weekly basis.
